Studio Art (Summer/Low-Residency M.F.A.)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2020

  • Inspire your practice by engaging with a community of creative peers and MICA’s world-renowned network of visiting artists and alumni. Work with a dedicated faculty mentor for the duration of the program.
  • Work off-campus during the academic year, and in your individual studio during the annual six-week summer residency and short winter term.

Rinehart School of Sculpture (M.F.A.)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2020

  • Inspire your studio practice by exploring discourse in history and theory.
  • Work in your private studio, experiment with access to a complete wood and metal shop and explore digital media resources.
  • Participate in weekly guest seminars, critical group readings, writing workshops, and benefit from career development support.
EXPLORE SCHOOL OF SCULPTURE

Photographic & Electronic Media (M.F.A.)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2020

  • Develop work that engages both intellectual and technical electronic media skills.
  • Challenge your practice with complex, artistic projects and collaborative, cross-disciplinary exercises.
  • Access a broad range of equipment and facilities that include traditional black-and-white/color darkrooms, a full, state-of-the-art sound studio, and dedicated spaces for high-end video production.
EXPLORE MEDIA PRACTICES

Curatorial Practice (M.F.A.)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2020

  • Learn from hands-on experience curating collaborative and individual exhibitions.
  • Raise awareness, bridge societal gaps, and catalyze meaningful engagement across various disciplines.
  • Explore the complex and evolving role of curators in shaping cultural institutions, galleries, the art industry, and their communities.
